BAH-HUMBUG! A CHRISTMAS CAROL BEGINS NOVEMBER 21

Consistently included among the Midwest's top-tier holiday events, Goodman Theatre's annual production of A Christmas Carol returns for its 31st season. Guided by sixteen years of experience with the production, Chicago actor/director William Brown returns to direct Tom Creamer's adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella for his third consecutive year.

'Flamenco Festival Miami 2009'

Following last season's sold-out celebration, FLAMENCO FESTIVAL MIAMI - 'the hottest flamenco event in the country' (World Music Central) - returns by popular demand to South Florida with a month-long celebration throughout February 2009. Presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and PerilloMusic, FLAMENCO FESTIVAL MIAMI will feature three headlining performances: ANTONIO GADES COMPANY in the U.S. premiere of CARMEN on February 12; Flamenco royalty ESTRELLA MORENTE on February 19; and LOS FARRUCO - the first family of flamenco dance - on February 28.

Teri Ralston to Celebrate CD Release With Metropolitan Room Performance 11/17

Beloved nightclub and Broadway vet Teri Ralston (Company, A Little Night Music) returns to New York's famed Metropolitan Room on Monday, 17 November, at 9pm to reprise the cabaret show she recorded there, live, this past January, and to celebrate the release of the resulting CD: I'VE GOTTA GET BACK TO NEW YORK.

'Little Death' won't die. The provocative new musical performance that reveals the erotic intersections between sex and death, will have an afterlife after all. The well-received two-part performance starring Karen Kohler, who is backed by a delicious 5-piece band led by Doug Oberhamer, adds three performances through Tuesday November 18.

To celebrate her recently released debut solo CD, I'VE GOTTA GET BACK TO NEW YORK, accomplished cabaret artist and Broadway vet Teri Ralston (Company, A Little Night Music) will make two special appearances in Manhattan this fall. On Wednesday, 15 October, at 6pm, Teri will sign CD's and sing selected songs at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Then, on Monday, 17 November, at 9pm, she will perform in concert at the Metropolitan Room, where I'VE GOTTA GET BACK TO NEW YORK was recorded, live, earlier this year.
