The Two River Theater Company recently announced its 2010-2011 season, which will begin on September 21 with Lynn Nottage's INTIMATE APPAREL which will run through October 10.

Following months of reading scripts, discussion, and meticulous season planning, Two River Theater Company is proud to announce the 2010-11 Season. Outgoing Artistic Director Aaron Posner had this to say about the season: "Two River Theater is committed to bringing theater of the highest caliber to the Red Bank and Monmouth County communities. The staff and I have worked tirelessly to create a season of the quality our audiences have come to expect from us, with world-class actors, directors, and designers. Many artists will be familiar to Two River audiences: Matt Pfeiffer-the director of Charlie Brown-is back to direct this year's family show, along with Aaron Cromie, who designed the puppets for Our Town."

Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.

The Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, nationally known for its interpretation of Stephen Sondheim musicals, celebrated its 20th anniversary season by presenting Sondheim's most popular musical SWEENEY TODD, directed by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. The production will end its run in the 276-seat MAX Theater, April 4, 2010.

Broadway veterans Ivonne Coll (Tony-nominated Chronicle of Death Foretold), June Gable (Tony nominee for Candide), Leslie Easterbrook (original Broadway production of California Suite), and Barbara Niles (Jesus Christ Superstar) are four ladies of 'a certain age' in a sparkling new musical with book by Jennie Fahn and toe-tapping music and lyrics by Joe Symon that will end its run on April 4th.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its all-star Spring 2010 season with the debut engagement of award winning vocalist, SHEERA BEN-DAVID.

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is thrilled to present Opus, a New England Premiere by Michael Hollinger. Opus opens for the press on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 7:30pm and plays through Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in the Charles Mosesian Theater.

Elegance and gorgeous music have a new home as Bay Area Cabaret moves into its new venue - The Empire Ballroom at San Francisco's iconic Sir Francis Drake Hotel (450 Powell Street off Union Square). Fresh off its sold-out Valentine's Day performance by Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, Bay Area Cabaret continues its sixth season of seasoned Broadway, pop and jazz vocalists on Sunday, March 28th when Broadway star Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Sunset Blvd) performs a new program of showstoppers and pop originals. Next up on Friday, April 16th is The Rose songwriter Amanda McBroom, performing a tribute to her songwriting inspiration Jacques Brel. Act II Playhouse presents the intimate new musical The Story of My Life, on stage April 27-May 23 and written by Neil Bartram (music and lyrics) and Brian Hill (book). Directed by Bud Martin, The Story of My Life stars Tony Braithwaite and Jim Stanek as lifelong best friends.
