New City Stage Company will be opening the 2013-14 season with "RFK", a play about the last 4 years of Senator Robert F. Kennedy's life. The show also began the 2012-13 season and was one of the biggest hits New City Stage has had, selling out out 18 performances in a row and extending 2 weeks. The show is written by Jack Holmes, who grew up in the Philadelphia area and performed in the original production. It is directed by New City Sage Founding Artistic Director Ginger Dayle and stars Producing Artistic Director Russ Widdall as Bobby Kennedy. The show runs October 31 until November 24, 2013 at the Adrienne Theatre Second Stage, with the possibility of an extension. New City Stage Company is thrilled to announce its 2013-14 season. New City Stage will be in residence at the Adrienne Theater for the fourth year in a row, located at 2030 Sansom Street in downtown center city Philadelphia. This is the company's eigith full season and includes 3 full professional productions, including a remount of last year's sold out hit, a Philadelphia premiere, and a world premiere original production. We will also be featuring a brand new another production from our educational program, the Voices for a New City Ensemble.

"RFK - A Portrait of Robert Kennedy," starring James O'Hagan Murphy, returns to Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St., Aurora 80010 July 26 and runs through August 31. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($20 advance), Senior, Student, Group discounts available. The 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theatre celebrates its tenth anniversary by bringing previous recipients back to the stage to present the next generation of musical theater stars with awards and accolades. The acclaimed program, sponsored by Wells Fargo, is a high school version of the Tony Awards, and allows theater students from across Washington to meet, celebrate, and honor the exceptional musical Theater Productions presented during the 2011-12 school year. The 5th Avenue Awards will be held at 7:00 PM, tonight, June 4, at The 5th Avenue Theatre.

They are joined by a thirteen-piece band (Michael Rafter, Music Director), playing new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick. Larry Moss directs, with musical staging by Joshua Bergasse ("Smash"). Carolyn Wong provides lighting design, with sound design by Leon Rothenberg and projection design by Telegraphicmedia.
