Maestro Luke Frazier and The American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will continue their all-star 2016-2017 season with a new take on the classic tale  Cinderella: A Magical, Musical Tale today, March 11 at 2:00 PM at Live! at 10th and G (First Congregational UCC, 945 G Street NW, WDC 20001).

The city-wide school tour of Irving Berlin's Land That I Love, featuring music & lyrics by Irving Berlin & book by 4-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin, The Wedding Singer, Elf the Musical), has extended its performance schedule into May due to popular demand & strong audience response from the first month of school tour performances across the city. Presented by leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser), Land That I Love is a special collaboration between Inside Broadway and the Irving Berlin Family & is specifically produced for New York City public schools. The tour began in January and will now be performed at over 60 NYC public schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Queens, with over 100 performances thru May 5 (in 2017, Inside Broadway will be serving over 50,000 New York City students with its programs).

Bryan Cumming, a jazz-Americana artist who has recorded with popular acts such as Al Jarreau and The Pointer Sisters, has released a new CD that pays tribute to the classic songs and legendary jazz artists of the Silent Generation.

Cagney, the hit musical about Hollywood's tough guy in tap shoes,will conclude its celebrated run atThe Westside Theatre on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Cagney began performances at The Westside Theatre March 16, 2016, prior to an official opening on April 3, 2016. When Cagney takes its final curtain call at The Westside Theatre, the production will have played a total of 502 performances (including 21 previews).  

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that RENT, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning landmark rock musical written by Jonathan Larson, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in a production that promises to be as impactful and exciting as the original. RENT is returning to Minneapolis as part of the 2016-2017 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin Season June 6-11 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Avenue., Minneapolis).

Laguna Playhouse Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham is thrilled to announce the fourth show in the Laguna Playhouse 2016-2017 season, Hershey Felder as OUR GREAT TCHAIKOVSKY, written  by Hershey Felder, music by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and directed by Trevor Hay. "This might be the most powerful piece of work that Hershey and Trevor have ever brought to the Playhouse. After finding that the inaugural Springfest sparked joy across Chicago, the Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) has revealed its full line-up for its second annual Springfest, Stuff.

If Nikka Graff Lanzarone was going to make sure of one thing through her Feinstein's/54 Below debut show HERO WORSHIP on February 23, it was that her audience would leave knowing how to properly say her name. Lanzarone, a true-blue triple threat who most recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of SWEET CHARITY, comes from a long line of show business royalty. She, like anyone born and raised on performance, wholly acknowledges the influence of her predecessors (both within and outside of her family) on her genetic and performative makeup. Thus emerged the concept of her solo show. Using the sentient direction of Robbie Rozelle, Lanzarone pieced together through songs and video accompaniment a stroll through her life and burgeoning career, filling the show with exuberance and laughter, vocal prowess and, unexpectedly, a few tears.
