Continuing its commitment to developing new works, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will gather playwrights and composers from across the nation for its 2017 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre, where the public can attend performances, participate in a panel discussion with the artists, and share in the journey of developing new works for the American theatre. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Director of New Works Giovanna Sardelli has announced a stellar line-up which includes staged readings of two musicals, three plays, and other special events.

Bergen County Players (BCP) concludes its 84th season with a staged reading of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. Conceived by BCP alum Brian Shnipper and directed by Mark Rinis, this anthology of monologues and short plays began as a series of benefit events in Los Angeles, taking on a life of their own as an inspiring theatrical evening. The show will only run two nights, June 10 and 11 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. ???????One of the greatest psychological thrillers of all time, Gaslight, comes to the Lyceum Theatre from Monday 20 - Saturday 25 February, starring the celebrated stage and television actress Kara Tointon. 

Leading lady Kara Tointon was in Birmingham yesterday to launch a brand new production of one of the greatest thrillers of all time, Gaslight.

Callisto: a queer epic transferred from the Edinburgh Fringe to Arcola Theatre studio 2 last month, as part of it's EH to E8. Callisto: a queer epic by Howard Coase tells a constellation of four stories scattered across time and space, from a London opera house in 1675 all the way to a research lab on the Moon in the year 2223, spanning the historical and the fictional and everything in between.

Due to health issues, Tony Slattery has sadly had to withdraw from the 2016 national tour of William Nicholson's SHADOWLANDS, and the producers, director and cast wish him a speedy recovery. Denis Lill has kindly agreed to step into the role of Warnie and has joined rehearsals today.

Multi-award winning actress Jenna Russell will play the role of Enid. Jenna won an Olivier Award and Theatre World Award for her performance as Dot/Marie in Sunday In The Park With George in the West End and on Broadway. She was nominated for a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for the same performance. Most recently she appeared in Aykbourn's Season's Greetings at the National Theatre, and prior to that in the award winning Into the Woods at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park. Vincent Franklin will play the role of Tubby. Vincent has appeared in all three series of The Thick Of It on the BBC, and has also recently appeared in the TV series Doc Martin and Being Human. Vincent has also appeared in numerous stage productions and is one half of the comedy duo ‘John and Vince'.
