Last night, 12 March 2013, saw the West End opening of the National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Timeat the Apollo Theatre. Today the Donmar Warehouse announces the cast for The Weir, which will be followed by the world premiere of a new play also by Conor McPherson this June. The casts for both shows represent a gathering of some of the finest exponents of McPherson's work and the back to back productions will allow audiences to see his latest work alongside his recognised masterpiece. After opening to great acclaim, Thea Sharrock's production of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys will complete its run at The Savoy Theatre on 28 July as previously announced. With a cast led by Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths as the ageing vaudevillian team Willie Clark and Al Lewis, The Sunshine Boys began its limited West End run in April this year.
