The Gift Theatre welcomes back live audiences with the Chicago premiere of Naomi Iizuka's drama At the Vanishing Point, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, playing April 28 – May 22, 2022 at Filament Theatre, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

City Lit Theater will open its 41st season with the world premiere adaptation of THE VIRGINIAN: A HORSEMAN OF THE PLAINS. Owen Wister’s novel, published in 1902, is said to have established the Western genre of narrative fiction and the cowboy ideal as an American icon.

The record was executive produced by T Bone Burnett, and features guest contributions from Jason Isbell, Margo Price, and Matt Berninger. 

WOMEN / CREATE!, a virtual festival of dance, was presented on Thursday, May 20, 2021, livestreamed on Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, and YouTube. The full program and post-show talkback is now available to view on-demand through Sunday, May 31.

Conceptualized and executive produced by Andy Lynn, this FREE one-day-only streaming event, with its heart in Chicago, stretches from coast to coast featuring artists, educators, streamers and mental health professionals from across the United States. Chicago locals include Echaka Agba, Breon Arzell, Micah Beauvais, Tyler Brown, Darby Fitzsimons, Tyler Gabrielle, Tina El Gamal, Tommy Malouf, Taylor Raye, Shane Richlan, Amaya Thompson, Shalyn Welch, Wanese Zarour, Martin Yousif Zebari and others. TUTA Theatre will present the world premiere adaptation of Hedda Gabler: A Play with Live Music, adapted and directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone, with original music and music direction by Wain Parham, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. Hedda Gabler will play February 25 – March 29, 2020 at Strawdog Theatre Company, 1802 W. Berenice Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are currently available at www.tutatheatre.org. The press opening is Thursday, February 27 at 7:30 pm.
