Imaginary Beasts presents a selection of ten playlets written by Thornton Wilder before his 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning OUR TOWN. An egalitarian ensemble of ten actors and actresses creates a circus-like environment with mime, acrobatics, and clown collars, augmented by atmospheric lighting and original music. The gestalt results in a delightful evening of theater.

Boston Journalists to Discuss Ryan Landry's Work at Humanities Forum This Sunday

Four Boston journalists who have each covered Ryan Landry for more than a decade will take part in a panel discussion about the playwright and producer's career, works, and unique form of satire at the Huntington Theatre Company's Humanities Forum on Sunday, April 21 following the 2pm performance of Ryan Landry's "M". American Repertory Theater Will Premiere WITNESS UGANDA in February 2014

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University has announced that it will present the world premiere of the musical Witness Uganda, created by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, and directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus. The production will begin performances at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge in February of 2014.

Huntington Theatre Company Adds 'M' Performance, 4/28

Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company has added a performance of Ryan Landry's "M" on Sunday, April 28 at 2pm. Known for his blending of classic source material with his unique brands of comedy and imaginative theatricality, Landry (Mildred Fierce) transforms Fritz Lang's 1931 film iconic film about a city panicked by an elusive child killer into a surreal, screwball take that is both hilarious and heart-stirring. The production began previews on March 30 and opens tonight.

BWW REVIEW: 'Raisin,' 'Clybourne Park' End Runs in Boston

Boston audiences have one last chance to see both the Huntington Theatre Company's knockout production of Lorraine Hansberry's landmark 1959 drama 'A Raisin in the Sun' and its modern-day follow-up, 'Clybourne Park,' running coincidentally in tandem at SpeakEasy Stage in the Boston Center for the Arts.

Robin Pearson Rose, Kandis Chappell and More Set for OTHER DESERT CITIES at The Old Globe

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the San Diego premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's award-winning family drama Other Desert Cities. Directed by Richard Seer, Other Desert Cities will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, April 27 - June 2, 2013. Preview performances run April 27 - May 1. Opening night is Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. Other Desert Cities is a co-production with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Lincoln Center Theater previously announced that Betsy Aidem, Blair Brown, Michael Cerveris, Anthony Cochrane, Lauren Culpepper, Alvin Epstein, Kathryn Erbe, John Glover, Jennifer B. Grace, Katie Kreisler, Stephen Kunken, Haviland Morris, Dale Place, John Procaccino, Gareth Saxe and Alan Schmuckler would be featured in the 18-member cast of its world premiere production of NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, a new play by Richard Nelson. The play, which was commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, will be directed by David Cromer and will begin performances tonight, April 4 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night is Monday, May 6.
