Pianist Amina Figarova performs at Dizzy's Coca Cola Club as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center on Monday, August 9th at 7:30 and 9:30PM. Cover is $20 for adults and $10 for students with a valid student ID. She will be lauching her new CD, Sketches, during her US tour. The Nashville Symphony announced today that there are still a limited number of seats available to see Mary Chapin Carpenter in concert this coming Friday, July 16 at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall at 8:00 p.m. Carpenter, a five-time GRAMMY winning country star known for such hits as 'Down at the Twist and Shout' and 'He Thinks He'll Keep Her,' will be performing one night only without orchestra accompaniment. Only a handful of seats remain at prices ranging from $17.50 to $57.50.

Massachusetts Releases Its MassJazz Travel Guide for July Through Octotber

Massachusetts releases its second annual MassJazz Travel Guide, a round-up of jazz festivals, concerts and musical events taking place across the Bay State from July through October 2010. The 32-page magazine is available free to visitors and residents at tourism kiosks, in hotels and nightclubs, and on college campuses.

NY Philharmonic and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Opens 2010 Concerts in the Parks, 7/13

The 2010 New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, will open with a free joint concert featuring the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Andrey Boreyko, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, conducted by its music director, Long Yu, with pianist Lang Lang as one of the soloists, Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., on the Great Lawn in Central Park.
