Classical tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 8 PM, as part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's 2011/12 World Music Series. Hussain is joined by Masters of Percussion, an ensemble of leading percussion artists, the Meitei Pung Cholom Performing Troupe which combines dance, drumming and martial arts, and special guest, kathak dancer, Antonia Minnecola.
DOMA Theatre Company kicks off its 2012 season of musical theater with a revival of The Who's Tommy. Hallie Baran directs the Tony Award-winning rock opera that features a book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff; music and lyrics by The Who's Pete Townshend; and additional music and lyrics by John Entwistle, Keith Moon and Sonny Boy Williamson. San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announces its 37th season that opens with a significant work of Latino drama and continues with six more provocative and eye-opening new American productions.
