Orange County's Pacific Symphony presents HANDEL'S MESSIAH, 12/13

'Handel's Messiah,' performed by Pacific Symphony, is perhaps the perfect way take refuge from the hectic pace of the holidays and celebrate the season in a serene and meaningful way. This year, the most famous oratorio in the world is led by British guest conductor William Lacey and features the Pacific Chorale and four seasoned veterans of the opera and solo stages-soprano Christine Brandes, mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Batton, tenor Benjamin Butterfield and baritone Timothy Mix-singing some of the most beautiful music ever written. Taking place on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m., in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, the Symphony's annual performance-the first of several holiday concerts-includes blazing trumpets, thundering timpani, the exhilarating 'Hallelujah' chorus, and a message of hope in a year of tribulations.

Disco Groove All-Stars Mark the Resurgence of Boogie Fever 12/5 At OCPAC

It's catching and it feels great - boogie fever! And bringing it to the Orange County Performing Arts Center's Segerstrom Hall audience on Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. will be the Disco Groove All-Stars, including the legendary Thelma Houston, Cheryl Lynn, Tavares, Maxine Nightingale and A Taste of Honey featuring Janice-Marie, all sharing one band for a seamless evening of top disco hits.

Orange County's Pacific Symphony presents AN OSMOND FAMILY CHRISTMAS, 12/17 - 12/19

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-Throughout the years, the Osmonds have delighted audiences with their touring shows, their Top-40 hits, a television show, and even an animated cartoon. Eighty-million albums, 47 gold and platinum records later, America's favorite showbiz family-Osmond brothers Wayne, Jay, Jimmy and Merrill-arrive in Orange County for the holidays! Joining Pacific Symphony for AN OSMOND FAMILY CHRISTMAS, on Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 17-19, at 8 p.m., in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, the brothers plan to entertain with a mix of the chart-topping hits that started 'Osmondmania' just a few decades ago and their own upbeat versions of Christmas tunes, such as 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,' 'White Christmas' and 'Feliz Navidad.'

Orange County's Pacific Symphony Presents NUTCRACKER FOR KIDS, 12/12

It's that magical time of the year again, when visions of sugar plums dance in the air and Pacific Symphony's Family Musical Mornings series returns to the enchanted land of the Sugar Plum Fairy with 'NUTCRACKER FOR KIDS.' Led by Pacific Symphony Assistant Conductor Maxim Eshkenazy, the orchestra performs excerpts from the much-loved holiday ballet by Tchaikovsky in a condensed version designed especially for children (45 kid-friendly minutes in length). Taking place on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, the program features young dancers from the Festival Ballet Theatre (FBT) performing the charming tale of Clara, a girl who receives an extraordinary gift-a nutcracker that magically turns into a prince. For the finale of this popular concert, which is almost always a sell-out, the audience is invited to participate in a holiday sing-along, and as a special treat, Santa Claus himself makes an appearance!

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons Return to the OCPAC 1/2/2010

It's 'Just to Good to be True!' Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons make a return visit to the Orange County Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in Segerstrom Hall for an evening full of classic hits such as 'My Eyes Adored You' and 'December '63 (Oh, What a Night).'

REVIEW: Patti LuPone performs with Orange County's Pacific Symphony

With Rob Fisher behind the podium conducting the Pacific Symphony, LuPone takes the audience for a ride through her musical theater past. As the show's title Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda suggests, the evening's selections are from musicals she either auditioned for, shows she thinks she could/should have starred in, or-as in the case of Evita-shows that made her the star she is today.
