A bright and bold poster designed by Italian artist Ugo Nespolo was unveiled by General Director Nigel Redden as the official 2015 Spoleto Festival USA poster today. Nespolo is the set and costume designer for Spoleto Festival USA's production of Francesco Cavalli's opera Veremonda l'amazzone di Aragona, which will have its American premiere-and first performances in over 350 years-at this year's Festival, running May 22 through June 7 in Charleston, South Carolina.

One of the world's finest collections of James Gillray's (1757–1815) work is owned by New College, Oxford, home to more than two thirds of Gillray's 1100 engravings. On the bicentenary of his death, Love Bites takes a fresh look at Gillray's caricatures, focusing on the theme of love in his pictures of courting, friendships and marriages. The exhibition sets his work in the context of a canon of artists who have treated the subject of love, from Brancusi going to back to Rubens, and aims to reveal a new vitality in the caricatures of James Gillray.

An important display of portraits by Snowdon from the 1950s to the 1990s has opened at the National Portrait Gallery, London, it was announced today, Friday 26 September, 2014.
The display includes portraits from his recently announced gift, one of the largest in its history, of 130 original prints to the gallery, of some of his most iconic photographs. Highlights include from 1978 actor Terence Stamp dramatically clothed up to his neck in a cape and Dame Maggie Smith photographed with a cigarette and script in hand rehearsing the title role in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler for Ingmar Bergman in 1970.
