Photo Flash: First Look at Anna Francolini in VICTOR/VICTORIA at Southwark Playhouse

The creative team behind the recent acclaimed Southwark Playhouse musicals, Parade and Mack & Mabel, are returning to the Vault to present the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. Directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, it will run for an 8-week season in The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, from Thursday October 25 - Saturday December 15. SOUND OFF: THE X FACTOR & GLEE Times Three

This week marked the third X FACTOR/GLEE combo Thursday on Fox and both shows continued to deliver the chill-inducing trills and riff-tastic runs we have come to expect from the entertainment extravaganzas showing off TV's top vocalists, performers, celebrities, hottest songs and guest stars. Evidently, Sarah Jessica Parker and Britney Spears sure can spice up and heat up a cooling late-September autumnal soup!

Richard Dempsey, Matthew Cutts & More Join Anna Francolini in VICTOR/VICTORIA at Southwark Playhouse; Full Cast Announced!

As rehearsals started today, final casting is confirmed for the major London production of the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. Directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, it will run for an 8-week season in The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, from Thursday October 25 - Saturday December 15. Press night is Thursday 1 November at 7.30pm.

Houston Ballet's WOMEN@ART Set for 9/20-30

From September 20-30, 2012, Houston Ballet presents Women@Art featuring a world premiere by Aszure Barton, the company premiere of Twyla Tharp's The Brahms-Haydn Variations, and the return of Julia Adam's Ketubah, commissioned by Houston Ballet in 2004. Houston Ballet will give six performances of Women@Art at Wortham Theater Center at 510 Texas Avenue in downtown Houston. Tickets start at $19, and may be purchased by calling 713 227 2787 or by visiting www.houstonballet.org.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and Paramount Pictures announce today that Jason Alexander will host The Big Picture: Paramount's 100th Anniversary celebrating the studio's rich cinematic and musical history at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 7:30 PM. Featuring the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by David Newman, Alexander is joined by three special guests, the legendary composers Michael Giacchino (Super 8, Star Trek), Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible series), and Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump).,

The performance is free and guests are welcome. Julie Andrews' biographer, Robert Windeler, will be joining Farr at this one-time-only performance.

WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Plays Berkeley Playhouse, Now thru 8/19

Berkeley Playhouse closes its 2011-12 main stage season with a delicious adaptation of Roald Dahl's WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Berkeley Playhouse founding Artistic Director Elizabeth McKoy helms this musical treat, based on Roald Dahl's stylish children's story about the world famous candy man, starring noted Bay Area singer/songwriter, musician, and recording artist Vernon Bush in the title role. The closing night concert for the 2012 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project was held on Friday, June 23, 2012. For the seventh year, the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project hosted the nation's most promising songwriters across all genres including music theatre, pop, jazz, rock, and contemporary pop at Northwestern University. Royal Albert Hall Screens WEST SIDE STORY with Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Now thru June 24

Fifty years after its release, the MGM re-mastered film returns to the big screen in high definition with its original vocals and dialog intact. This classic romantic tragedy and the bitter battle between the Jets and the Sharks as Leonard Bernstein's seminal score, featuring the much loved 'America', 'Somewhere' and 'Tonight', is dramatically brought to life on stage by The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Jayce Ogren at the Royal Albert Hall for four performances tonight, June 22nd to June 24, 2012.
