IFC today announced that acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine, Carol) will guest star in an upcoming episode of Documentary Now!. In the previously announced episode 'Waiting for the Artist,' Blanchett stars as a world-renowned performance artist who feels pressured to put on the show of her life. Created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, the Emmy(R)-nominated DOCUMENTARY NOW! is known for lovingly paying homage to the world of documentaries. Season 52 is set to premiere Wednesday, February 20 at 10PM with seven all-new episodes airing only on IFC.

Paul Roseby OBE, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT) has today announced the summer and autumn season of work for 2018.
The american vicarious will present the world premiere of Jonathan Leaf's Pushkin. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will begin performances on July 25th and continue through August 25th only, at at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is scheduled for August 5th. The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
Acclaimed singer/actress Gina Gershon makes her Cafe Carlyle debut with Wild Women Don't Get the Blues, June 5-16. Gina Gershon has enjoyed a successful and diverse career in entertainment, earning acclaim as a film, television and stage actor, as a singer/songwriter/musician and most recently as an author. Gershon's prolific film career began when she landed her first speaking role with a memorable turn in John Hughes' box office hit Pretty in Pink. Some of her previous roles in film include Paul Verhoeven's Showgirls, the Wachowskis' Bound, Red Heat opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, Cocktail opposite Tom Cruise, John Sayles's City of Hope, Robert Altman's The Player, the John Woo blockbuster Face/Off opposite John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, and Michael Mann's Oscar-nominated The Insider opposite Al Pacino and Christopher Plummer. On 4 June, Kinky Boots will gain several new cast members including Oliver Tompsett and Natalie McQueen. The show, about shoe factory owner Charlie Price and drag queen Lola, has been running at the Adelphi Theatre since 2015. Simon-Anthony Rhoden continues in the role of Lola.

According to Deadline, Helen Mirren and Danny DeVito have signed on to join the voice cast of the upcoming THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN. The new Disney film is set to be a hybrid of live action and CGI.
