National Theatre: 50 Years on Stage will air on Great Performances, tonight, February 14 at 9 p.m., ET on PBS (check local listings).

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is delighted to announce that Peter Greenaway CBE will receive the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at the EE British Academy Film Awards ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday February 16th.

The Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center ('the PAC') today announces the establishment of a core team of artistic leaders: David Lan (Artistic Director of London's Young Vic) as Consulting Artistic Director; Lucy Sexton (artist, producer, and Director of the New York Dance & Performance Awards (aka The Bessies)) as Associate Artistic Director; and Andy Hayles, Managing Partner of Charcoalblue (London's National Theatre, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and the future home of Brooklyn's St. Ann's Warehouse), as theater design consultant. Stephen Daldry (director of the films The Hours, Billy Elliot, The Reader and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and of Billy Elliot the Musical, and former Artistic Director of London's Gate Theatre and Royal Court Theatre) has joined the PAC's Board of Directors. The artistic team is collaborating with the PAC's staff, board and numerous consultants to create a place that is unique on the cultural landscapes of New York, the United States and the world.

Fathom Events, National Theatre Live (NT Live) and BY Experience have come together again to broadcast the National Theatre's original stage production of 'War Horse,' pre-recorded live from London's West End, for only one night in cinemas across the country on Thursday, February 27. For the first time ever, a broadcast from National Theatre Live will be shown at New York City's legendary Ziegfeld Theatre (141 West 54th Street) on February 27th at 7:00 p.m. The broadcast can also be seen in New York at Cinema 123 (1001 3rd Avenue) with encore dates/times to follow.

Primal Forces, the brand new off-shoot company of the Boca Raton Theatre Guild, will present the southeastern premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winner David Mamet's The Anarchist. The production will run from February 28th through March 23rd at the Andrew's Living Arts Studio in Fort Lauderdale, and will star current double Carbonell-nominee Patti Gardner and Jacqueline Laggy.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today confirmed a number of nominees, presenters and other attendees of this Sunday's EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Opera House, London.

Michael Pennington, two-time Olivier Award nominee, an artist of international stature and one of England's greatest classical actors, will play the title role in William Shakespeare's tragedy King Lear directed by Arin Arbus. For the second production in Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at its first permanent home, the new Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place in Brooklyn, Mr. Pennington leads a company of 22 actors. King Lear begins previews March 14 for an opening March 27 and a run through May 4.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, honored Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris as the recipient of its 2014 Man of the Year Award on Friday, February 7, 2014.

The Music Box Theatre continues its partnership with the UK's National Theatre Live - produced by Northwestern alum David Sabel - to exhibit live stage performances beamed to Chicago from England. Next weekend: Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, Thor) stars in Coriolanus, Shakespeare's searing tragedy of political manipulation and revenge. Coriolanus bows Sunday, February 16, 11:30 am at Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Avenue.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, honored Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris as the recipient of its 2014 Man of the Year Award on Friday, February 7, 2014. Phase 4 Films has announced that AFTER THE DARK, formerly known as THE PHILOSOPHERS, will receive a national theatrical day-and-date release today, February 7, 2014. The film was penned and directed by John Huddles, and stars James D'Arcy, Bonnie Wright, Daryl Sabara, Sophie Lowe, Rhys Wakefield, Freddie Stroma, Maia Mitchell, Katie Findlay, Jacob Artist, and Erin Moriarty. George Zakk, Cybill Lui, and Huddles produced, with Eddy Sariaatmadja and Balaji Rao serving as executive producers.

Saddle up and get ready for some horsing around, San Francisco! After leaving audiences in stitches in January with his sold-out hilarious and touching romp, Fruit Fly, Feinstein's at the Nikko is thrilled to welcome back Emmy Award winner, Leslie Jordan, for one performance of his latest autobiographical one-man show, Show Pony - Sunday, March 23 at 7 p.m.

Directed by Cannes & Venice film festival favorite, Peter Greenaway's Eisenstein cast includes Finnish actor Elmer Back in the title role, Mexican actor Luis Alberti in the role of his guide (Palomino Cañedo), South African actor Stelio Savante as Hunter S. The Society of London Theatre's 2013 Box Office figures, published today (29 January 2014), show record ticket revenue and attendances. Overall attendances increased 4% to 14,587,276 and gross sales of £585,506,455 were up 11% compared to 2012, generating VAT receipts for the Treasury of £97,584,409.

A new 2-disc region-free DVD edition of the spectacular live celebration marking the 50th anniversary of acclaimed UK theatrical venue the National Theatre titled 50 YEARS ON STAGE is now available to order.

MCC THEATER as announced the preliminary lineup of performers for the annual Miscast 2014 gala, which will feature one-night-only performances from stars of stage and screen including Zosia Mamet, Christian Borle, Anika Noni Rose, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Steven Pasquale, Jesse L. Martin, Sasha Allen, Keala Settle, and Nicole Parker. Phil Reno will serve as Musical Director. Additional performers will be announced at a later date. Miscast 2014 will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street). The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and gala dinner followed by the Miscast performances. Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis will join the previously announced Natascha McElhone in Trevor Nunn's production of Fatal Attraction to play Dan and Beth Gallagher. Written by James Dearden, the world stage premiere of Fatal Attraction will open at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 25 March 2014, with previews now starting on 11 March and currently booking to 21 June 2014. Designs are by Rob Jones with lighting by Paul Pyant and sound by Paul Groothuis.
