Stage Door Theatre to Present THE ROTHSCHILDS

Stage Door Theatre's September production is a Tony Award-winning musical based on the fascinating story of one family's rise from the ghettos of late eighteenth century Germany to domination of the European financial community and the loftiest echelons of society.  The Rothschilds will open on September 2nd and run through October 16th in the theatre's large auditorium.

BWW Review: DISNEY'S CAMP ROCK, THE MUSICAL at NoHo Arts Center

If you ever wondered what the kids on Glee did during their summer vacation, the answer might be Disney's Camp Rock, The Musical. With space unavailable at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, Panic! Productions booked a road trip featuring its cast of chiefly Ventura County teens, staging the show at the NoHo Arts Center in North Hollywood. Camp Rock, which is directed by Barry Pearl, opened last weekend and continues through May 22.

Panic! Productions to Present Disney's CAMP ROCK: THE MUSICAL, 5/6-22

Panic! Productions, the award-winning, Thousand Oaks-based theatre company, spreads its wings with its first production at the NoHo Arts Center in North Hollywood. "Disney's Camp Rock: The Musical," a stage adaptation of the popular Disney Channel movie, will open May 6 and play through May 22.

Chen Dance Center to Present NEWSTEPS, 5/7-9

Chen Dance Center presents newsteps, its semi-annual emerging choreographers series, May 7-9 at 7:30 PM. Since its founding in 1994, the Series has supported and presented over 250 artists developing innovative and risk-taking works through rehearsal space grants and public performances. The five choreographers were selected for the May 7-9 concerts: Jonathan Breton, Hannah Cohen, Bree Nasby, Janice Rosario, and Ashley Carter & Vanessa Martinez de Banos.

Motherlodge Live Arts Exchange returns to Joe's Pub at The Public for a special one-night-only fundraiser for the organization curated by Michael Arthur (Balthrop, Alabama, Joe's Pub and La Jolla Playhouse's archival artist) and Motherlodge founder Ray Rizzo (drummer with Dawn Landes, Corporal and others). Motherlodge is a touring, presenting organization that creates space, or "lodges" in different cities where artists from different geographic locations can share what they do and work together to create new interdisciplinary artworks. Motherlodge's 'A Fleetwood Mac Orgy' at Joe's Pub promises to be a cosmos-shattering night of Broadway and downtown performers colliding with rockers from Brooklyn and Kentucky. The fundraiser will help pay for promotion, production costs, gas and lodging for artists who will join for the Motherlodge in Louisville at the end of March.
