British actor Tom Hiddleston gave a surprise performance in Nashville, Tennessee Saturday night after a premiere of his upcoming Hank Williams biopic, I SAW THE LIGHT, hitting theaters in March 2016.

Chicago's acclaimed Jefferson Award nominated actress and winner of the After Dark Award for "Outstanding Cabaret Artist" and the Chicago Cabaret Professionals Gold Coast Award, Suzanne Petri brings her brand new show, TORCH, SASS AND SWING!, to Davenport's Cabaret (1383 N Milwaukee Ave). The show runs October 28, November 4 and November 7, 2015.

"The setting is a nameless South Side Chicago blues club," said Myler, who'll direct the production for the Playhouse. "It's Saturday night, into Sunday morning. The linking dialogue is from actual blues artists that we interviewed, but it's the music that drives the piece."

WaterTower Theatre presents the world premiere of Donald Fowler's musical CREEP. The musical will open WaterTower Theatre's 2015-2016 Season on Monday, October 5, 2015 (with previews tonight, October 2, Saturday, October 3, and a Gala Preview performance on Sunday, October 4). R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER: THE HISTORY (AND MYSTERY) OF THE UNIVERSE will run October 1-25, 2015 at The Balzer Theater at Herren's (downtown Atlanta), starring Tom Key as R. Buckminster Fuller. Written by D.W. Jacobs with direction by David de Vries, the play is based on the life, work, and writings of R. Buckminster Fuller.

The McCallum Theatre presents Jason Petty on Saturday, October 24, at 8:00pm. Berkeley Playhouse at the historic Julia Morgan Theater opens its eighth season with Avenue Q.
