Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance present the Martha Graham Dance Company in the EVE Project, Friday, January 25 (8 PM) and Saturday, January 26 (2 PM and 7 PM). The EVE Project commemorates the upcoming centennial of the 19th Amendment (which extended the right to vote to American women) with works by all female choreographers, staying true to Graham's tradition of social activism. The program features the Philadelphia premiere of Graham's powerful Chronicle; the first preview performance of Deo, a new work by celebrated choreographers Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith, Graham's Diversion of Angels, and Ekstasis by Graham, reimagined by Virginie Mecene. This season, one of literature's most celebrated works, Harper Lee's To KIll A Mockingbird has landed on Broadway in a new adaptation by legendary screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced today that Golden Globe winner and four-time nominee Jeff Bridges will be honored with the 2019 Cecil B. deMille Award at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 6, 2019. The highly-acclaimed actor of such legendary films as Crazy Heart, The Big Lebowski, True Grit and The Fabulous Baker Boys will accept the honor at the awards ceremony, hosted by Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, and airing LIVE coast to coast from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC.

The American Film Institute (AFI) announced today the honorees of AFI AWARDS 2018, celebrating the year's most outstanding achievements in the art of the moving image — with 10 films and 10 television programs deemed culturally and artistically significant.

Two-time Oscar®-winning director Barbara Kopple has partnered with America's leading true-crime network, Investigation Discovery (ID) to explore the legacy of the notorious 1989 murder of Noreen Boyle in Mansfield, Ohio in the new documentary, A MURDER IN MANSFIELD. The film chronicles Noreen's son Collier's journey for answers and peace in the aftermath of his mother's death nearly three decades ago. A MURDER IN MANSFIELD will have its national television debut exclusively on Investigation Discovery on November 17, 2018 at 9 pm.

Roman Holiday the Musical held a reading today in Shanghai, China. The reading starred two time Olivier nominee Michael Xavier and Sara Chase, who appeared in the show's San Francisco run in 2017. The reading was directed by Marc Bruni with music direction by Todd Ellison.

The Office of the City Council will honor Sanford Meisner and The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre will be recognized with a Proclamation in honor of their 90th Anniversary. The Proclamation will be presented by NYC Council Member Ben Kallos at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (340 East 54th Street) on Thursday, October 18th at 2 pm.

The San Diego International Film Festival (SDiFF), produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that they have honored Oscar-winning performer Keith Carradine with the Gregory Peck Award, and Zachary Levi, star of New Line Cinema's upcoming superhero adventure Shazam!, with the Humanitarian Award for his work with Operation Smile. The awards will be presented October 11th at The Night of the Stars Tribute at the Pendry San Diego in Downtown San Diego, CA.

The Ojai Film Festival and Women In Film (WIF) will present a Legacy Series event with acclaimed actress Eva Marie Saint on Friday, November 9 at the Ojai Art Center. The intimate filmed interview produced by WIF's Ilene Kahn Power and Dorothea Petrie, directed by Petra Haffter, and edited by David Flores and Zachary Weintraub, is a 40-minute retrospective of the Academy, and Emmy award-winning star's career in film, television and stage. The event begins at 4 pm with the screening, followed by Q&A with Ms. Saint. A reception will follow.
