KC Rep Announces Cast of THE FANTASTICKS

Kansas City Repertory Theatre will continue its 2015-16 season with The Fantasticks, directed by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Producing Director Jerry Genochio.

Update: Found SHUFFLE ALONG Cast Member Jeffrey 'JL' Williams Looks Forward to 'Sharing His Story'

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, SHUFFLE ALONG cast member J.L. Williams, who was reported missing last week, was found on Sunday.  Cast member Adrienne Warren tweeted, 'THANK YOU!!! For all of your assistance in helping us get the word out! JL WILLIAMS has been FOUND and is recovering in a NYC hospital!!' Now Williams has taken to Facebook to share that he is indeed alright:

Phil Collen & Robert DeLeo's DELTA DEEP Slates East Coast 'Sugar Shack' Tour

DELTA DEEP, the critically acclaimed blues-based band featuring Phil Collen (lead guitarist of Def Leppard) and Robert DeLeo (bassist for Stone Temple Pilots), in addition to Debbi Blackwell-Cook (back-up vocalist for such artists as Michael Buble & Gregory Hines) and Forrest Robinson (drummer for India.Arie, Joe Sample & The Crusaders, TLC), are set to continue their 2016 Sugar Shack Tour with a run up the East Coast this Spring. 

Tap Dance Archive to be Published by Library of Congress

A reception in celebration of TAP DANCE IN AMERICA: A TWENTIETH-CENTURY CHRONOLOGY OF TAP PERFORMANCE ON STAGE, FILM, AND MEDIA, a new Library of Congress interactive archive by tap dance historian CONSTANCE VALIS HILL, will take place today, February 12, 7:30pm, at the American Tap Dance Foundation, where Ms. Hill serves as Director of Preservation. The reception, at the Foundation's American Tap Dance Center, 154 Christopher St., NYC, will kick off a weekend of discussions, films, master classes, jams and concert performance in honor of the publication of this milestone collection.

The American Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF), Tony Waag, Artistic/Executive Director, announced today its 2016 spring and summer season of tap dance events and performances, offering audiences an opportunity to experience top tap dance talent in a variety of performance settings and explore tap dance history in Tap's hometown, New York City.

Toronto KINKY BOOTS Star Alan Mingo Jr. to Succeed Wayne Brady as 'Lola' on Broadway

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Alan Mingo Jr. will play 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), beginning March 29, 2016. Mingo, who comes to Broadway straight from the Toronto production of Kinky Boots, succeeds Emmy Award-winner Wayne Brady in the role. Brady, who took over the coveted part of 'Lola' from Tony Award-winner (and original star) Billy Porter in November 2015, plays his final performance on March 27, 2016.
