Tampa Repertory Theatre Presents BETRAYAL, Now thru 5/24

April 2, 2015 Tampa Repertory Theatre will present Harold Pinter's groundbreaking drama Betrayal, opening tonight, May 7 in the Studio Theatre at HCC Ybor and running through May 24. Performance times are 7:30 PM todays, 8:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3:00 PM on Sundays. Tickets are $20; $15 tickets are available to students, seniors and military personnel. The HCC Ybor Studio Theatre is located at 2204 N 15th Street, Ybor City, at the corner of East Palm Avenue and North 14th Street (Avenida Republica de Cuba). Patrons may purchase tickets at the door or at TampaRep.org.

University of Chicago's Robert J. Zimmer, Steppenwolf's Martha Lavey and More Set for Arts Alliance Illinois Luncheon, 5/20

The third annual Arts Alliance Illinois Voices of a Creative State benefit luncheon will feature a keynote address by University of Chicago President Robert J. Zimmer, who will discuss the vital, transformational role the arts play in education and civic engagement. The event also will pay tribute to two individuals who have made profound and lasting contributions to Chicago's theater scene: Steppenwolf Theatre Artistic Director Martha Lavey and former Steppenwolf Executive Director David Hawkanson. The event will take place Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Swissotel Chicago, 323 E. Upper Wacker Drive.

TRT2, Tampa Repertory Theatre's laboratory arm, opened Bethany, by Laura Marks, on January 23rd at the Silver Meteor Gallery in Ybor City. The show continues Friday, January 30th through Sunday, February 8th. Performance times are 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 3:00pm on Sundays. Admission is $15 at the door or online at TampaRep.org. Groups of eight or more can purchase tickets at a group rate of $12 per person. The Silver Meteor Gallery is located at 2213 E. 6th Avenue, Ybor City.

Vince Szydlowski Named Senior Vice President, Label Sales for Capitol Music Group

Vince Szydlowski has been appointed Senior Vice President of Label Sales for Capitol Music Group (CMG), it was announced today by Greg Thompson, Executive Vice President of the company. In his new position, Szydlowski will implement and execute the Group's sales and retail marketing strategies, incorporating those plans into the efforts of Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) and managing Capitol's vital interaction with that company. He will oversee Capitol Music Group's National Sales staff in the design and planning of strategic retail campaigns.Szydlowski is based in Hollywood in the company's iconic Capitol Tower.
