Arena Stage Announces More Shows For 2011 Season

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the award-winning New York theater troupe Tectonic Theater Project will join the 2010-2011 season with its national tour of The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. Five performances will be presented in the Kreeger Theater November 19-21, 2010 and will feature many of the original cast members from The Laramie Project.

La Jolla Playhouse Presents Reading of THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER with Wright, Foxworth, Sands & Winningham

On October 12, 2009, La Jolla Playhouse will join with theatres across the country in presenting a reading of the Tectonic Theater Project's new work: The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, by The Laramie Project creators Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber. This compelling and groundbreaking epilogue to the original piece will premiere on October 12, 2009 at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and at more than 100 other theaters in all 50 states, Canada, Great Britain, Spain, Hong Kong and Australia.

Glenn Close To Host THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER Pre-show

The coda to the Laramie Project, The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, will premiere at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall on October 12, the anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death on which the play is based. As part of the opening event, stage and screen star Glenn Close will host a pre-show that will be webcast to over 150 theaters nationwide that will also be presenting this sequel piece.

Tickets are on sale now for the New York one-night-only reading of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, the compelling and groundbreaking epilogue to the play, The Laramie Project, which was written in response to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard. The epilogue, which is written by Tectonic Theater Project members Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber, will be performed simultaneously in theatres across the globe on Monday, October 12 starting at 8 PM (EST).

Tectonic Theater Project will be hosting a benefit performance and post-performance reception honoring the Broadway Premiere of Mois?s Kaufman?s new play, 33 Variations starring Jane Fonda, Samantha Mathis, and Colin Hanks on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Eugene O?Neill Theater, 230 W 49th St., New York City. The Post-Play Reception following the evening performance will be hosted by Morgans Hotel Group at Royalton, 44 West 44th Street, and catered by Valrhona Chocolates.

Fonda Led 33 VARIATIONS Tickets Now On Sale

Oscar & Emmy Award winning screen legend JANE FONDA will return to Broadway in MOISES KAUFMAN's 33 VARIATIONS. Performances begin on Monday, February 9th, 2009 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre (230 West 49th Street). The official opening will be Monday, March 9th, 2009. The engagement will play through May 24th, 2009. Tickets are now available for sale to the general public.
