Starry Alumni, Sharp Satire and Hope For The Future In National Youth Theatre 60th Celebrations

Sixty years young, last night the National Youth Theatre celebrated its storied past, buoyant present and - with a heartfelt plea for more financial support - essential future in a star-studded diamond gala at Shaftesbury Theatre. Those NYT participants who joined the company in this glittering anniversary year really lucked out, noted my companion, but it was hard to find a dull moment in decades of pioneering, diverse and life-changing work, as illustrated by this affectionate revue.

Kevin Kern and Christine Dwyer to Think Happy Thoughts in FINDING NEVERLAND National Tour; Cast Announced!

Finding Neverland, the enchanting Broadway musical set to soar on tour this fall, began rehearsals under the visionary direction of Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. The cast is led by Kevin Kern (Bridges of Madison County, Wicked) and Christine Dwyer (Wicked, Rent), with Tom Hewitt (Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago), Joanna Glushak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, After the Night and the Music), Jordan Cole, Finn Faulconer, Ben Krieger, Jacob Morrell, Gregory Trechel, and Mitchell Wray.

Broadway'sFinding Neverland, the magical story of how Peter became Pan, has forever departed the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), sailing off for a First National U.S. Tour and forthcoming 2017 West End production. Finding Neverland opened on Broadway on April 15, 2015 and played 33 previews and 565 performances.

After 33 previews and 565 performances, the Broadway production of Finding Neverland takes its final trip to Neverland today. LET THERE BE LIGHT: Lighting Designer James Farncombe Talks Opera, LED and Experimentation

Our new series, LET THERE BE LIGHT, focuses on some of Britain's finest theatrical lightning designers. First up is James Farncombe, whose projects range from plays at venues like the Royal Court, Young Vic and Donmar to a variety of opera and ballet productions. He received an Olivier Award nomination earlier this year for his work on the National Theatre's smash hit People, Places and Things.
