Virginia Repertory Theatre Presents WEST SIDE STORY

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of West Side Story on Friday June 22, 2018 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through July 29, 2018.  Previews will be on Wednesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 21, 2018. With a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by legendary Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim, this classic musical retelling of Romeo and Juliet is set against the backdrop of New York's Hell's Kitchen in the 1950's.

First Look At Amelia Lily In SHREK THE MUSICAL

There's a new princess in town! Actor and recording artist Amelia Lily takes on the iconic role of Princess Fiona in the smash hit SHREK THE MUSICAL® as the new critically acclaimed production continues on a major UK and Ireland tour through to January 2019, arriving at Stoke's Regent Theatre this week.

CAROLINE OR CHANGE to Transfer to the West End

As reported last night, it's now official that Caroline, Or Change, the celebrated musical written by Tony Kushner, author of Angels in America, with a soaring score from Tony Award-winning Jeanine Tesori, will transfer into the West End's Playhouse Theatre from 20 November 2018 to 9 February 2019.

Virginia Repertory Theatre Presents The World Premiere Of RIVER DITTY

As a part of its New Play Development initiative, Virginia Repertory Theatre, in partnership with Glass Half Full Productions, will present the world premiere of River Ditty by Matthew Mooney Keuter.  The show opens in the November Theatre on Friday, April 20th, 2018, and runs through Sunday, May 6th, with two preview performances on Wednesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 19th. Virginia Rep's November Theatre/Arenstein Stage is located at 114 West Broad Street, Richmond VA 23220.

KING LEAR With Ian McKellen Will Transfer to the West End

ATG Productions, Chichester Festival Theatre, Gavin Kalin Productions and Glass Half Full Productions are delighted to announce a major West End transfer for Chichester Festival Theatre's critically-acclaimed production of Shakespeare's King Lear, which will run at the Duke of York's Theatre in London for 100 performances only from 11th July to 3rd November 2018.

SHREK THE MUSICAL Stomps Into Glasgow King's Theatre

SHREK THE MUSICAL will be stomping into Glasgow this autumn as producers of the hit musical are delighted to announce additional Scotland dates due to popular demand. Following the critically acclaimed opening of the new UK and Ireland tour in Edinburgh, the larger-than-life production will be arriving at the King's in Glasgow from Tuesday 25 September until Saturday 6 October.

The X-Factor's Amelia Lily Will Star in SHREK at Bristol Hippodrome

SHREK THE MUSICAL today announces full casting for the major nationwide tour, with Amelia Lily joining the cast as 'Princess Fiona' at The Bristol Hippodrome from 8th 19th August 2018. As previously announced Steffan Harri will lead the cast as beloved swamp-dwelling ogre 'Shrek' with Marcus Ayton as Shrek's wisecracking sidekick 'Donkey' and Samuel Holmes as pint-sized villain 'Lord Farquaad'.

OSLO Celebrates International Day of Peace

Presented by Center Theatre Group, The National Theatre production of 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' will begin performances at the Ahmanson Theatre on August 2 with the opening set for August 3. The Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott ('War Horse'). Performances will continue through September 10, 2017.

Adam Langdon to Lead 'CURIOUS INCIDENT' National Tour at the Ahmanson

Casting is set for the Los Angeles engagement of the National Theatre production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" presented at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. The Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott ("War Horse"). "Curious Incident…" previews August 2, opens August 3 and continues through September 10, 2017.
