London, 1962: Two teenage girls, Ginger (Elle Fanning) and Rosa (Alice Englert), are inseparable. Rubicon Theatre of Ventura continues the company's 15th Anniversary Season, and the theatre's community initiative titled 'Our Town/Your Theatre,' with Food Confessions, a hilarious new comedy from the pen of Nancy Nufer. Brooklyn-based Super Wings NY is set to be featured on Bobby Dean's Not My Mama's Meals on the Cooking Channel, Wednesday, January 16th, at 9:00 pm EDT. In the episode, Super Wing's CEO Colette Cyrus-Burnett whips up a batch of her world famous Bajan Merry Mango wing sauce. Bobby, the son of Paula Deen, and Colette work side-by-side simmering traditional Caribbean ingredients, including mango, to create the delicious sauce.
Today Florida band Holopaw shares 'Discotheque,' a brand new track from the band's forthcoming fourth album, Academy Songs, Volume I. The band has also announced an East Coast tour in Feb. 2013. Valentina Kozlova's Dance Conservatory Company returns to Symphony Space for their delightful production of Tchaikovsky's full-length NUTCRACKER today, December 22 at 4 PM at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Guest Daniyar Shmanov, principal with the Kazakh State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, joins the company of professional dancers and students of Kozlova's midtown school (at Symphony Space).
