The Cleveland Orchestra has announced the program for the free community concert for the At Home in Hough neighborhood residency on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at East Professional Center (formerly East High School). 

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, Marni Nixon, perhaps best known for dubbing the singing voices of the leading actresses in films, including THE KING AND I, WEST SIDE STORY and MY FAIR LADY, passed away from breast cancer on July 24th. She was 86.

SHUFFLE ALONG will play its final Broadway performance today, July 24, 2016, the day six-time Tony-winning star Audra McDonald was already set to depart the production for a multi-month maternity leave. SHUFFLE ALONG began performances on March 15, 2016 and officially opened on April 28 at the Music Box Theatre. It will have played 38 previews and 100 regular performances by the time it ends. Hershey Felder channels the great composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein in Maestro, a new play with music written and performed by award-winning actor and musician Hershey Felder, and directed by Joel Zwick at 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Maestro plays August 31 - October 16. The show opens Sunday, September 11 at 3PM.

Broadway veteran Kirby Ward will direct and star in Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston's Crazy for You, George and Ira Gershwin's musical comedy about a 1930's playboy who just wants to dance.  Crazy for You is the final production in the company's 48th consecutive summer season and will run for 8 performances from August 4-14, 2016 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).  In addition to directing, Ward will reprise his spectacular Olivier Award-nominated role as "Bobby Child", the part he originated for the 1993 London premiere.  This high energy production will also star Broadway veteran Beverly Ward (Epic Proportions, Billy Elliot ) as "Polly Baker."  The family-friendly show features flashy tap dance numbers and such memorable songs as 'Someone to Watch Over Me,' 'Embraceable You' and 'I Got Rhythm." Original choreography by Susan Stroman reproduced by Eileen Grace (Radio City Christmas Spectacular, 42nd Street).
