On Saturday, February 4 at 8 pm, The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO)'s Saturday Evening POPS! concert celebrates famous songs and music of the stage and screen with guest vocalist Sierra Boggess and the return of Lucas Richman as host and conductor.

Rehearsals begin in London today for the highly anticipated new West End musical An American in Paris. Christopher Wheeldon's stunning reinvention of the Oscar winning film (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron) features the sublime music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Lucas.

Pacific Symphony announces today that award-winning Broadway superstars Megan Hilty and Brian Stokes Mitchell will join the orchestra's 2016-17 Pops season, replacing previously scheduled Jason Alexander, who was forced to cancel due to an unforeseeable conflict.

Starting in the back of the packed Feinstein's/54 Below house with 'It's a New World' (Harold Arlen/Ira Gershwin), Molly Pope has your attention. The band has played the overture; now it is her turn, crooning in silence. As suddenly as the first number ends, you're launched into the energetic 'Gotta Have Me Go with You,' Pope working her way through the crowd to the stage to join Brian Beach and Danny Bevins, her pair of enthusiastic backup dancers for the evening and the final pieces of her very complete transformation into Vicki Lester.

The In Series, which creates innovative theatrical programming around a classical music core of opera, cabaret, and song, presents a tune-filled look at the music of Irving Berlin, one of America's most celebrated composers. Artistic Director Carla Hubner notes in the program: "George Gershwin called Berlin 'the greatest songwriter that has ever lived.'" I tend to agree, although I would reserve that for Mr. Gershwin, but at the In Series, they crafted a delightful evening filled with some of his most memorable songs.

A STAR IS BORN - presented live by award-winning cabarettist Molly Pope - will return to Feinstein's/54 Below for a one-night-only encore performance on Wednesday, January 18 at 9:30 PM.

Based on the 1951 Academy Award-Winning Vincente Minnelli film musical of the same name which was inspired by the 1928 orchestral composition by George Gershwin, An American in Paris tells the story of a young American soldier, a mysterious French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of World War II.

A cast of Broadway stalwarts will join Tony Award winning legend and international stage and film star Liliane Montevecchi in The Ziegfeld Society's gala benefit performance of Ziegfeld Follies Of The Air: The New 1934 Live from Broadway Broadcast Revue, devised and directed by Walter Willison with musical direction and special musical arrangements by Mark York.

Two of cabaret's favorite and most-acclaimed merrymakers - KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler - are coming together to headline New Year's Eve at Pangea this year. 

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Conductor John Morris Russell, will ring in the New Year with the jazz band The Hot Sardines today, December 31 (8 p.m.) at the Taft Theatre in Downtown Cincinnati. The speakeasy-themed concert will feature jazz and swing selections, perfect for the Taft's Art Deco era architecture.
