The Meyer Rossabi Band brings it's hard rocking electric blues to New York City with a special performance at 'Take Back New York' at Sullivan Hall on Thursday, September 23rd. The Meyer Rossabi Band will feature guitarist Meyer Rossabi, Frankie Cheez on bass, and drummer Paul Kane. This special live performance will feature songs from Rossabi's CD Just A Little Taste of the Blues, as well as tracks from Rossabi's upcoming release, Blues Is The Color.

Legendary soprano Kiri Te Kanawa returns to Ravinia Festival in a rare intimate Martin Theatre recital at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18. This performance also features director of the Steans Music Institute vocal program Brian Zeger on piano. The program includes works by Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Handel, Liszt, Strauss, Rachmaninoff, Ginastera, Guastavino and Canteloube.

Celebrated jazz pianist, composer and arranger Linda Presgrave and her quintet will launch 'Jazz in July,' a series of free summer concerts sponsored by Washington University's Jazz at Holmes, with a performance from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 8.
