Hello Stranger Friends, welcome as we begin our journey following CBS's latest entry into prime time political dramas, MADAM SECRETARY. I hope you will join me each week to compare notes, share critiques, high-five our agreements, and civilly discuss our disagreements. I have been excited for this show to launch and am extremely happy and grateful to BWW for giving me the opportunity to recap and review it each week. I feel the political drama has been contorted a little bit into the soapy waters of serial television lately, and really have been hoping to get back to some great writing, topical discussions, and fine acting, a la THE WEST WING. Truthfully, watching the first episode, I have high hopes that we are on our way with maybe one or two disappointments.

I am excited to be recapping and reviewing, along with live tweeting, each episode of this series for BroadwayWorld.com. CBS is showing extreme confidence in this show, and giving it a huge leg up in attracting their core audience, by giving it a prime time slot between two of their most watched shows, 60 MINUTES, and THE GOOD WIFE, on Sunday nights.
