Comedienne Gilda Radner became one of the most idolized comic figures of the 70s as well as a popular tragic heroine of the 80s as she lost her battle with Ovarian cancer. Possessing an edgy brilliance that defied description, she lived passionately for every moment and won the hearts of millions. Writer Alan Zweibel, who was one of Gilda's closest friends - he created Roseanne Roseannadanna - from the beginning of her professional career to her death in 1989, penned Bunny Bunny to keep Gilda's memory alive...how lucky for us as we witness a triple threat production now onstage at the Falcon Theatre: great writing, vibrant direction from Dimitri Toscas and superb acting by a trio of artists who evoke and maintain a visceral energy that is every bit as remarkable and palpable as Gilda herself (Erin Pineda).

La versione italiana, curata dalla Compagnia della Rancia, si avvale della regia di Saverio Marconi e Marco Iacomelli e di un cast capitanato da Giampiero Ingrassia (Frederick Frankenstein), Mauro Simone (Igor), Valentina Gullace (Inga), Giulia Ottonello (Elizabeth) e Altea Russo (Frau Blucher). Seguono Fabrizio Corucci (la Creatura), Felice Casciano (Ispettore Kemp), Roberto Colombo (Victor Frankenstein), Davide Nebbia (Abelardo), Michele Renzullo (Ziggy), Giorgio Camandona, Paola Ciccarelli, Anna Bodei e Francesca di Cresce. L'intento di queste pagine e di raccogliere i pareri della critica, pressoche concorde, relativi a questo spettacolo dal suo debutto nella passata stagione ad oggi.

Today in 2007, Young Frankenstein opened at the Hilton Theatre (now the Foxwoods Theatre), where it ran for 485 performances. Young Frankenstein is a musical with a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks. It is based on the 1974 comedy film of the same name written by Brooks and Gene Wilder and directed by Brooks, who has described it as his best film. It is a parody of the horror film genre, especially the 1931 Universal Pictures adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and its 1939 sequel, Son of Frankenstein.

A big, splashy Mel Brooks musical has arrived in Long Beach and Musical Theatre West has created a monster of a good time to go with it. Repertory Philippines presents its 76th theater season's closing production, Tony Award-winning musical "The Producers," which opens on Friday, November 15 at Onstage Theater in Greenbelt 1, Makati City.

Crush: A Storytelling Benefit for Gilda's Club of Delaware Valley features a line-up of Philadelphia funny ladies telling original stories on the theme "crush." The evening will be hosted by award-winning Philadelphia storyteller Hillary Rea and will feature performances by Ms. Rea, Shannon DeVido, Cathy Simpson, Bi Jean Ngo, Anna Roisman, Juliet Hope Wayne, Emily McGraw, and Jennifer Childs. Ms. Rea says of the night's theme, 'Everyone's had a crush at some point in their life. Those initial butterflies, day dreams, and interactions with a crush are always more humorous in retrospect. Even when your heart is crushed by a crush, with some distance, there is bound to be a funny story worth telling.'

The New Mel Brook's Musical Young Frankenstein will open at the Apollo Civic Theater in Martinsburg this weekend and features over twenty performers in the area premiere musical adaptation of Mel Brook's horror movie spoof. Directed by Terri Magers, musically directed by Allison Shaffer and choreographed by Shannen Banzhoff, Young Frankenstein is based on the Mel Brook's cult classic 1974 film of the same name.
