Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, starring Denzel Washington and directed by Tony Award nominee Kenny Leon, opened last night, April 3 at 6:45pm at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street); the same theatre where the original production of A Raisin in the Sun opened 55 years ago. A Raisin in the Sun is a limited engagement running through June 15. BroadwayWorld was there for opening night and you can check out photos from the after party below!

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will host a special free talkback following the performance on Tuesday, September 17 with acclaimed news anchor Dan Rather. New York Times reporter Wilborn Hampton will interview Mr. Rather about his friendship with playwright Horton Foote and their shared hometown of Wharton, TX the real life Bountiful. All ticket holders for the evening performance on September 17th are invited to stay for the talkback.
