Lee Blessing to Return for id Theater's 13th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, 6/10-22

id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho for the 13th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, June 10- 22, sponsored by the Alpine Playhouse. Playwrights, actors and directors from across the country will travel to McCall and, working with local artists and students, develop eleven new plays that will be presented to the public free of charge. Since 2001, the Conference has developed more than 100 new plays by some of the most exciting voices in American Theater.

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Stages New Musical WALDEN, Now thru 6/23

The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity presents Walden, a story-theatre style musical adaptation of Thoreau's best seller, featuring his work on the underground railroad and his star-crossed romance. Six performances for Walden will be held at the Robert Moss Theatre, 440 Lafayette Street, NYC from today, May 29-June 15 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 29th through June 23rd at Gene Frankel and Robert Moss Theatres in New York City.

Akademeia Theatre to Stage Kathleen Potts' MISS NOWHERE DINER, 6/13-23

Akad?meia Theatre presents Miss Nowhere Diner, a play about the power of faith, the lure of deceit by Kathleen Potts. Lydia Fort directs a cast of six including Branden Baskin, Lex Daemon, Salina Duplessis, Jennifer Roberts, Miriam Tabb, and Corey Wright*. Six performances for Miss Nowhere Diner will be held at the Robert Moss Theatre, 440 Lafayette Street, NYC from June 13-23 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. FIX NUMBER SIX Opens Tonight at Planet Connections Festivity

The world premiere of Fix Number Six, a comedy by Jerry Polner, directed by Michael Criscuolo and featuring actors praised by the New York Times, Backstage, TimeoutNY, and nytheatre.com. Fix Number Six tells of Jane, a travel agent whose career is going nowhere. Hounded by an idiot boss, she dreams of pursuing her true calling as an international spy. When her rich, lovesick customer wants to hire Jane to 'fix' his life with whatever tawdry subterfuge is necessary, she jumps at the chance.

THE LIVING ROOM Will Play the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity

The Brewing Dept. is proud to present Jenny Vallancourt's new play The Living Room, directed by Thomas Kapusta, as part of the 5th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 30 through June 24 at the Gene Frankel and Robert Moss Theatres. The Living Room will play in the Gene Frankel Theatre June 8 through June 22.

Casting has been announced for the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Gala 'One Acts for a Cause' on Sunday, June 16 at 7:30pm at the Alice Griffin Jewelbox Theatre in the Pershing Square Signature Center. The evening will raise funds for the non-profit Safe Horizon and showcase three new one-act plays by acclaimed playwrights Neil LaBute, John Patrick Shanley and Winter Miller (Neil LaBute and Winter Miller's pieces will be world premieres).

Brian Maschka directs a cast of ten including Drew Aber, Cole Burden, Susannah Jones, Lisa Lamothe, Heather Lundstedt, Ronnie Nelson, Kurt Robbins, Thalia St. Hubert, Doug Shapiro, Forest VanDyke, with additional cast members to be announced shortly. Randy Graff to Star in OIL Reading at the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity

Tony Award-winner Randy Graff (City of Angels, Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, A Class Act) will star in a free staged reading of Marco Calvani's comedy OIL on Thursday, June 20 at 7:30pmas a part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premiere eco-friendly/socially-conscious theatre, music and film festival which will run from May 29-June 23 at the Robert Moss Theatre (440 Lafayette Street) and the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street).

Horse Trade and Spookfish Theatre Presents ADVANCE GUARD World Premiere, Now thru 5/19

Horse Trade Theater Group and Spookfish Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of ADVANCE GUARD by Ming Peiffer, tonight, May 8-19 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street). The production will be directed by Kat Yen (Pornography for the People; The ABC's Guide to Getting Famous) and will feature David M. Farrington, Ben Kaufman, Alesandra Nahodil, Eamon O'Rourke, Matt Stillo, and Mari Yamamoto. The creative team will include Lighting Design by Porsche McGovern and Set Design by Norihito Moriya.

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company (OTC), under the artistic direction of Thomas R. Gordon, will present 3 productions during their 2013 season - the 2nd season for the company. With a season focused on dreams, the Onomatopoeia Theatre Company will present: William Shakespeare's MACBETH (April 25th-May 5th), the world-premiere of Thomas R. Gordon's DRACULA: BLOODLINES (August 22nd-September 8th), and August Strindberg's A DREAM PLAY (November 7th-November 17th). All three productions will be presented at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street).

Nylon Fusion Theatre Company Announces 10-Minute Play Festival Beginning 4/29

"This Round's On Us" - After the Fool... is the second fundraising event of the year to support Nylon Fusion Theatre Company's 6th Season. The festival will feature plays by new and notable playwrights, including Kristina Poe, a longtime member of LAByrinth Theater Company, James Harmon Brown, best known for his work on All My Children, and Jack Karp, a member of Nylon Fusion and winner of the David Mamet Playwriting Competition, whose recent play Incendiary Agents, presented at The New Ohio, performed to sold-out houses.
