Director Michael McElroy participated in the True Colors Cabaret, a special event promoting LGBT equality at Feinstein's at Lowes Regency last night, December 21.

As previously announced, Tony Award-winner Karen Olivo will join Rufus Wainwright for the 'True Colors' Cabaret on January 11. Piper Perabo will host the evening.

One experience being auctioned off includes 2 VIP tickets to HAIR on Broadway and meeting two time Tony nominee, Gavin Creel, after the show.

The 21st Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION announced an all time record total of $4,630,695 had been raised by the 60 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's total breaks the previous record when $3,927,000 was raised for the 2007 GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.

Last night, cast members from HAIR participated in the City Harvest canned food drive last night. The truck was parked in front of the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from 4 to 7 and cast members were there to greet fans dropping off food. With this, the cast continues its commitment to community service.
