With [title of show] completing the journey from Off-Broadway to Broadway this week, The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization is proud to announce that it has acquired the stock and amateur rights to this hit musical written by Jeff Bowen (music and lyrics), and Hunter Bell (book). In addition to licensing the musical through R&H Theatricals, the Organization will represent Bowen's score through its music publishing division, Williamson Music.

Producers are seeking young men, ages 19-25, for the Chicago production of the award-winning musical comedy Altar Boyz, now playing at Drury Lane Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut St. in Chicago. All potential 'boyz' must have strong pop vocals, solid hip-hop dance ability, and excellent comedic instincts. Open auditions will be held at Lou Conte Dance Studio, 1147 W. Jackson St., Studio C, on Friday, February 1. 2008 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday February 3, 2008 Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia along with his friends the Sprites from Disney Channel's hit Playhouse Disney kids' television series 'Johnny and the Sprites' will take the stage of Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, NYC) for a very special live musical celebration for the whole family. Andrew C. Call, who last appeared on Broadway in High Fidelity, will rejoin the cast of Altar Boyz, the acclaimed musical comedy at New World Stages, taking over the role of Luke, beginning September 21. He replaces Landon Beard.

The Altar Boyz Van, a beloved site all around the Times Square area, will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to be auctioned off at this year's BC/EFA Flea Marker on Sunday September 23.
