Director Luke Sheppard helms Harvey Fierstein's CASA VALENTINA, with previews from tonight 10 September, an opening slated for 16 September and a run through 10 October 2015 at Southwark Playhouse.

The European premiere of Harvey Fierstein's Casa Valentina opens at the Southwark Playhouse as his Broadway hit Kinky Boots, with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, opens at the Adelphi Theatre.

Director Luke Sheppard today announces the full company for Harvey Fierstein's Casa Valentina. Sheppard directs Tamsin Carroll (Rita), Ben Deery (Miranda), Charlie Hayes (Eleanor), Bruce Montague (Terry), Robert Morgan (Amy), Matt Rixon (Bessie), Ashley Robinson (Gloria), Gareth Snook (Charlotte) and Edward Wolstenholme (Valentina). The production opens on 16 September, with previews from 10 September, and runs until 10 October.

Louise Dearman joins the cast of Of Thee I Sing, which plays at the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday July 30.

The new musical VALLEY OF SONG opened to positive notices from critics. Left incomplete at Ivor Novello's death, Christopher Hassall finished the piece. It was at the end of her performance. Lights were dimmed, with just a pencil light on her or face. Waiters stopped serving; the bar was silent and there was no encore. Patrons were left to consider the message in the song.
