FOX has renewed the Emmy Award-winning SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (SYTYCD) for a 13th season that will feature a younger generation of dancers.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, the 13-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning show that sparked America's fascination with dance, is set to captivate audiences again this fall - live on tour. Celebrating its momentous 12th season and its exciting new Stage v. Street format, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE's Top 10 finalists will make their way across North America performing in 70 cities as part of the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE SEASON 12 TOUR. The Season 12 tour lineup includes the following Top 10 finalists: Team Stage's Gaby Diaz, Edson Juarez, Jim Nowakowski, Hailee Payne and Derek Piquette; and Team Street's Megan 'Megz' Alfonso, Eddie 'Neptune' Eskridge, Virgil Gadson, Jessica 'JJ' Rabone and Jana 'Jaja' Vankova. The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) today announced its 2016 YoungArts Winners. From more than 12,000 applications-the largest number to date-819 young artists from 42 states have been selected for their outstanding work and accomplishments across the literary, visual, design and performing arts. There has not been a TV show over the past decade that has consistently brought me more pleasure than SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. The sheer joy of the artistic creation and expression that has been displayed on that stage over the past 12 seasons has been unlike anything else that you can find anywhere on TV. While it might seem hyperbolic, no show, potentially ever, has done more to advance the public consciousness of the power of art, let alone dance, than SYTYCD. I know that there have been dance shows since the dawn of TV, and I know that ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS still out-performs SYTYCD in the ratings, but not DWTS, not SOUL TRAIN, not SOLID GOLD, not AMERICAN BANDSTAND, no show has effectively brought the transformative power of dance (and in turn, the fine arts in general) to TV viewers more than SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.
