On September 30th through October 3rd, 500 artists, activists, young people, educators, scholars, practitioners and business people from 31 countries, all who use performance in their work as a new way of relating to, transforming and understanding the world, gathered at the All Stars Project headquarters at 543 West 42nd Street for the Performing the World Conference; Can Performance Change the World?
The All Stars Project, the American pioneer for development and developmental learning, is launching UX - a unique development institution, free of cost, forward-thinking and open to people of all ages and backgrounds.
The president and CEO of the All Stars Project, Gabrielle L. Kurlander, announced the appointment of Dan Friedman, Ph.D. as the artistic director of the Castillo Theatre on Sunday, April 4. Friedman was preceded in this position by Fred Newman, who held it from 1989 through 2005, when he retired; Newman remains artistic director emeritus.
