The on-air talent at Spanish-language radio station La Ley 107.9 (WLEY-FM) in Chicago voted overwhelmingly to recognize SAG-AFTRA as their union. The election was conducted on Friday, Sept. 28, by the National Labor Relations Board.

SAG-AFTRA today called a strike against advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, LLC (BBH) after the union's National Board unanimously voted to issue a strike authorization. Members have been instructed to not accept any work for BBH, which is illegally attempting to abandon its union contract with SAG-AFTRA.

The Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters will present its annual Celebrity Benefit on August 25th starring Grammy-winner Steve Tyrell and hosted by actress Sarah Drew. Guest will be treated to an evening of fine art and a red-carpet brimming with the stars of film and television. But there is no doubt the real star of the evening will be a special performance of this summer's popular Pageant of the Masters, 'Under the Sun.' Proceeds will support the Building Fund for renovations of the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters' facility.

SAG-AFTRA and New York Public Radio (NYPR) today announced that they have reached a Voluntary Recognition Agreement that will add per diem and temporary employees working in SAG-AFTRA covered titles to the union's longstanding contract that currently covers over 100 full-time workers at NYPR. The Voluntary Recognition Agreement adds more than 30 people to a larger group that has been represented by SAG-AFTRA since 2000. The new unit made the request to unionize on July 12, 2018.

The SAG-AFTRA National Board met today in a one-day video-conference plenary and unanimously approved the historic first-ever tentative agreement reached with Telemundo Television Studios on July 12 covering Spanish-language television performers. The board also approved the tentative agreement made with the major broadcast television networks on June 9. With the board's approval, the National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting (the Network Television Code) now goes to the union's membership for ratification.

SAG-AFTRA has reached a historic agreement with ZEUS, the new subscription video on demand streaming service founded by television executive producer Lemuel Plummer and co-founded by social media superstars King Bach, Amanda Cerny and DeStorm Power. The three influencers have a combined audience of almost 70 million followers across all social media platforms. The agreement, which provides coverage for content produced by ZEUS and a pathway to SAG-AFTRA membership for ZEUS content creators, was announced today from Social Media Week Los Angeles.

Today, staff at KUOW-FM 94.9, a National Public Radio member station in Seattle, Washington, overwhelmingly elected to join SAG-AFTRA. SAG-AFTRA represents 160,000 members including radio and TV broadcasters and journalists across the country. The new bargaining unit will cover the public media professionals who create content for the station, which is affiliated with the University of Washington. The unit includes the station's announcers, hosts, producers and reporters, as well as digital and community engagement staff. This victory allows them to move forward to negotiate a first contract.
