Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) were honored at the 26th Annual Freddie Awards with an Industry Impact Award for introducing Crossover Rewards with Starwood Hotels. Freddie Awards founder Randy Petersen created the award named for Sir Freddie Laker in honor of his accomplishments in marketing travel during the 1970s to recognize airline, hotel and credit card loyalty programs for their efforts each year.

This time, it's no joke. Funny…Sheesh Productions presents Doubles Crossed: The Ballad of Rodrigo, an original play by Jason S. Grossman and directed by Amber Gallery. Funny...Sheesh produces original plays, variety shows and comedy showcases. They are working with Ivy Theatre Company in a space sharing partnership to promote artistic union and collaboration within the New York City independent theatre scene. The two companies are also sharing the same production team uniting their promotional efforts, as well as hosting a joint fundraiser. Doubles Crossed: The Ballad of Rodrigo is a sequel to Funny…Sheesh's play, Doubles Crossed (2012). Audience members need not have seen the first play to enjoy this neo-noir thriller.

Singer and songwriter Amos Lee will make his Segerstrom Center for the Arts debut on Wednesday, August 6 at 8 p.m. in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall as part of the second leg of his 2014 Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song Tour. His recent fall and winter headline tour included sold-out shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, ACL Live in Austin and the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Lee will be joined by band members, Freddie Berman, drums; Zach Djanikian, mandolin; Annie Clements, bass and vocals; Andy Keenan, guitar, banjo and vocals; and Jaron Olevsky, keyboards.
