Folger Theatre today announced the world premiere of Confection, an immersive theater piece imagined and performed by New York's acclaimed theater company, Third Rail Projects. Confection is conceived and written by Zach Morris, directed and choreographed by Zach Morris, with Tom Pearson and Jennine Willett, and created in collaboration with the company. The commission of Confection by Folger Theatre is in association with Before 'Farm to Table': Early Modern Foodways and Cultures, a Mellon initiative in collaborative research, convened by the Folger Institute.

The week will culminate in a party on October 19th, the 'Mini Gala' - a wine and cheese event to celebrate the week's presentations; and 'Tea Time,' a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, where a veteran stage actress discusses her experiences building her career. Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, announces its grand reopening on October 15th in Glen Echo Park after 7 months of renovations due to an electrical fire. Executives from Adventure Theatre MTC's partners in the renovation in addition to the many donors who have made this renovation possible, will gather on October 15th in Glen Echo Park at 10am for a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony. Tours of the renovated space will be offered after the ceremony.
