Bock and Harnick's Fiorello!, the opening musical of the Encores! 20th Anniversary season, will star Kate Baldwin, Erin Dilly, Jenn Gambatese, Shuler Hensley and Emily Skinner, with Danny Rutigliano as Fiorello LaGuardia. Fiorello! will be directed by Gary Griffin with choreography by Alex Sanchez and music direction by Rob Berman. The show will run for seven performances from January 30 - February 3 at New York City Center.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond, featuring Tony Award and Golden Globe winner Linda Lavin, BACKSTAGE, Tony nominee Sally Mayes and award-winning jazz singer/songwriter Mark Winkler, award-winning singer Amber Martin, Sondheim Unplugged, musical legend Darlene Love, The Broadway Boys, Broadway star Morgan James and Night of Stars!

Hot off the release of his new album, 'Drafts (Volume One),' composer Alexander Sage Oyen is bringing his songs to 54 Below on Saturday, January 19th! Joining Oyen at the 11PM concert will be Derek Klena (Dogfight), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Taylor Trensch (Bare, Matilda), Emma Hunton (Rent, Spring Awakening), Alex Brightman (Wicked, Glory Days), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hard Body, Godspell), Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening), Matt DeAngelis (Hair, American Idiot), Andrew Kober (Hair), Kennedy Caughell (American Idiot), Noah Galvin (The Great American Mousical), Michael McCorry Rose (Wicked), Lois Sage (John Bucchino's Grateful album), Drew Gasparini (composer, Smash), Jessica Kent, Elanna White, Noah Zachary, Max Chernin, and Dan Housek.

Bill Charlap, Julie Halston, Jim Caruso, Mark Nadler, and Lauren Fox join an All-Star Cast that already includes Marilyn Maye, Faith Prince, James Barbour, Rupert Holmes, Jane Monheit, Emily Bergl, Jessica Kirson, Kate McGarry, Jason Graae and Carole J. Bufford!

The choices I have made are based solely on the plays and performances that I actually saw. I cannot see all the great talent that is out there in LA; it is physically impossible, as there exist far too many theatre/cabaret performances for one person to cover. So if a choice of yours is not on my list, chances are, I did not see that play or performance...or, it just did not make the final cut. I also do not separate Equity from Equity waiver; I consider all the productions/performances I select to be of top-of-the-line quality/professionalism.

Although Ann Hampton Callaway has been performing as a nightclub nightingale for around 30 years, I feel like I've caught her act in the absolute prime of her career. Because while 54 Below may have opened it's glorious nightclub in June with Broadway musical legend Patti Lapone, and subsequently booked an All-Star team of women musical theater standouts such as Marin Mazzie, Rebecca Luker, Faith Prince, Sheri Rene Scott, Leslie Uggams, and even Ann's sister Liz Callaway, it's only fitting that a charismatic cabaret chanteuse and down-to-earth diva like Ann Hampton Callaway has become the quintessential Queen of 54 Below.

The cast of PLAID TIDINGS will feature William Martinez as Frankie, Scott Dreier as Smudge, David Brannen as Sparky and Ciaran McCarthy as Jinx. NVA presents the heartwarming and hilarious holiday show PLAID TIDINGS. A Special Holiday Edition of Forever Plaid, PLAID TIDINGS marks the return of Sparky, Jinx, Smudge, and Frankie, a teenage singing group who've been sent down to earth by the heavenly Rosemary Clooney to put a little harmony into a discordant world.

On March 7, 2013, the Ephrata Performing Arts Center will open its 2013 season with its most ambitious undertaking ever, the area premiere of the epic theatrical diptych, Angels in America.

Jack Gindi's new play, Best Friends, will have a staged reading at 2:00pm on Friday, November 16th at Theatre 54 inside Shetler Studios. David Glenn Armstrong directs this four-person contemporary comedy/drama which stars Josh Adam Davis, Sarah Nedwek, Graham Powell, and Leah Wagner.

For David Elder, making the trip to Nashville to star in the national touring company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas-the stage musical based on the holiday film favorite-is a homecoming of sorts. For it was in Music City that the talented young man from Texas first set off on his circuitous route to stardom.

The hilariously impromptu evening has also been celebrating local talent across the country, in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Cleveland, Austin, Orlando, Pittsburgh, and on the high seas.

A favorite among audiences and critics alike, Tony Award-winning Broadway star Victoria Clark brings her one-woman show to Indianapolis. The show will feature standards from the Great American Songbook alongside material from lesser-known composers and music from her Broadway career (The Light in the Piazza, The Grapes of Wrath, Sister Act: The Musical, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Cabaret, Urinetown, Titanic, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Bye Bye Birdie, Grand Night for Singing). The New York Times says Clark, in her Piazza, role gave "hands down the best musical performance by any actress this season." This is sure to be one show you won't want to miss!
