Waller and Stephen Gabriel, lyrics by Timothy A. McDonald and Jonathan K. Waller, and based on the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown; directed by Joshua Napierkowski.

Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival to Present THE CLEVER MISTRESS and MY LAST DUCHESS, 4/23 & 30

On Monday, April 23, 2012 at 7:30pm and Monday, April 30, 2012 at 7:30pm, Robert Sirota's The Clever Mistress (New York premiere) and Theodore Wiprud's My Last Duchess (world premiere) will be presented in a double bill as part of the 15th anniversary season of the Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival at Peter Norton Symphony Space (95th St. and Broadway, NYC). These fully staged, one-act operas - a tragedy and a comedy inspired by two Renaissance stories - will be performed with a chamber ensemble conducted by Victoria Bond, artistic director of Cutting Edge Concerts, and will be directed byTom Dulack.

Sydney Lyric's OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN Musical Begins Rehearsals

To kick off the celebration of Black History Month, Theatre at the Center's Theatre for Young Audiences will present the Theatreworks USA production of The Color of Justice, a play inspired by events and people surrounding the civil rights case of Brown v. Board of Education.

Seattle Theater Writers, a group of 11 local theater writers and reviewers, has announced the 2011 winners of the first annual Gypsy Rose Lee Awards, a new set of theater awards devoted to recognizing excellence across the Equity and non-Equity spectrum. 2011 marks the 100th year of Ms. Lee's birth in Seattle.
