Judith Light to Receive O'Neill Center's 17th Monte Cristo Award

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces that iconic stage and film actress Judith Light will receive the 17th Monte Cristo Award. An alumna of the O'Neill, Judith first performed at the O'Neill's 1977 National Playwrights Conference.

Ben Rimalower's PATTI ISSUES to Return to NYC; Audible Recording Out Soon!

After another successful return engagement earlier this year, Ben Rimalower will return with his acclaimed long-running solo plays, PATTI ISSUES (about his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father) and BAD WITH MONEY (about how an addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life) at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) for three Monday nights this season April 24, May 15 and June 12.

SPACE on Ryder Farm Announces Lineup for 2017 Working Farm Reading Series

SPACE on Ryder Farm, a non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 221 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, NY, announces its lineup for the 2017 Working Farm Reading Series to be held at Playwrights Horizons in New York City April 3-7, 2017. Sonder Productions is proud to present their inaugural production of Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical. The short-lived Broadway show by Frank Wildhorn is given new life in this stripped down, honest look at the infamous criminals. In a day and age when desperate times call for desperate measures, Bonnie & Clyde gives a voice to those whose circumstances force them to make hard decisions. This show dives into the grey area of what it means to be a citizen, and raises the question: which is more important, obeying the law and keeping the peace, or making the choice to live a full life?

Over 500 Organizations Light the Way for THE GHOSTLIGHT PROJECT Tonight

At 5:30pm tonight, January 19, 2017, at sunset the eve of the Inauguration, more than 500 theaters, ensembles and companies, high school and university theater programs will gather across the country to light a light and make a pledge to stand for and protect the values of inclusion, participation, and compassion for everyone - regardless of race, class, religion, country of origin, immigration status, (dis)ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
