Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are pleased to announce an open call casting search for African-American singers for both the Broadway production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL and the national tour, with an opportunity to audition at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday, September 16.  

Today, the producers of Hedwig and the Angry Inch announced that the record-breaking musical has raised over $600,000 for Hetrick-Martin Institute during the production's record-breaking run at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy, and David Mirvish has announced that MOTOWN THE MUSICAL has been extended for one additional week. Tickets for the final week will go on sale Saturday September 12th. Tickets will be available online at www.mirvish.com at 12:01AM. Hedwig will soon put the wig back on the shelf. As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Tony-winning revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch will close on Broadway on Sept, 13. Taye Diggs, the show's current star, will wrap its run. Now the show has officially updated its lottery policy. A recent tweet reads: 'Hedwig Alert! New lottery timing - you may now enter 2 hours before each performance; winners drawn 90 minutes prior to show time.'

Alan Cumming came to see Darren Criss take his final bow in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH on Broadway this afternoon. Following the show, Cumming took a selfie with Criss in the GLEE star's dressing room. Cumming tweeted, (@Alancumming) 'Just saw @DarrenCriss rock it again in @HedwigOnBway. Bravo wee D, bravo!!' The West End production of Motown the Musical, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February next year, held open casting auditions in London today (7 July 2015).  Almost 200 people attended and auditioned for the opportunity to portray the iconic artists of Motown in the musical.
