The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, in cooperation with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, presents The Black Movie Soundtrack at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at 8 PM. Just announced special guests include soul singer Bilal; Prince cover-band Princess, featuring SNL alum Maya Rudolph and singer-songwriter Gretchen Lieberum; and hip-hop group Public Enemy. The special evening will be hosted by actor and comedian Craig Robinson.

Broadway star, Saycon Sengbloh (Motown / Fela / Holler If Ya Hear Me), is set to perform for the YouKnowIGotSoul.com presents SOL Village R&B Showcase tonight, July 16, 2014 at the infamous SOB's (Sounds of Brazil) in New York City where the doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 9:00pm. Saycon will be singing her own brand of vintage pop soul music! The concert will also feature performances by Maurice, Clinton Babers, Sincerely XO, and Adreena.
New York Live Arts Announces Additional Programming Details for Kyle Abraham's Suite of World Premiere Works

New York Live Arts today announced further programming details for the suite of all-new world premiere works created by 2012-2014 Resident Commissioned Artist(RCA) Kyle Abraham, including a fourth, previously unannounced ensemble work. Known for creating “voluptuous movement phrases with touches of dance-theater” (The New York Times) Abraham and his company, Abraham.In.Motion, will present four works-one evening-length, two ensemble works and one trio-over two programs titled The Watershed and When the Wolves Came In at New York Live Arts from September 23 through 27 and September 30 through October 4, 2014. Exploring two totemic triumphs in the international history of the civil rights, the 150 year anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 20 year anniversary of the abolishment of apartheid in South Africa, the works feature visual design by acclaimed conceptual artist Glenn Ligon and original music performed live by world renowned jazz artist Robert Glasper, accompanied by two musicians and a vocalist.
Dave Chappelle Adds 10th Show at Radio City Music Hall

Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSGE) announced today that -- with 50,000 tickets sold -- Dave Chappelle has sold out an unprecedented nine consecutive comedy performances at Radio City Music Hall, and is adding a 10th show. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of "Dave Chappelle's Block Party," for four select shows, Chappelle will combine his stand-up comedy with appearance by different musical guests each night, including: Nas, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monae, and DJ Premier. Each musical guest will perform with a full orchestra to make those shows a fully-blended comedy and concert experience. Five consecutive comedy shows and four music and comedy shows make up the Radio City Music Hall run for Dave Chappelle starting June 18th through June 27th. Tickets for the newly added show on June 27th will go on sale June 19th at 5:00PM EST.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist Maxwell is bringing his 35-city 'Summer Soulstice' U.S. tour to the Gallo Center for the Arts at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 24. His appearance at the Gallo Center is one of only two stops on the Northern California leg of the tour.
