Casting has been announced for the National Tour of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Broadway musical inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock 'n' roll icons, which is entering its third smash year on the road. The tour will play over 75 cities this season including the State Theatre in Easton tonight, January 22nd.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces a rare opportunity for D.C.-area theatergoers to hear groups of distinguished actors, directors, playwrights and artistic directors discuss their work and the myriad challenges facing their art form, in a special series of three Monday evening panels entitled The Summit. Organized and moderated by The Washington Post Theater Critic Peter Marks, the three free installments will gather some of the region's most accomplished theater professionals to talk about everything from their passion for their craft to the problems of trying to lure new audiences to live theater.

Virginia's Signature Theatre just announced the full cast of this spring's world premiere musical Beaches, adapted from the beloved 1985 novel by Iris Rainer Dart. Directed by Signature Theatre's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Follies, Million Dollar Quartet), this heartfelt chronicle of a decades-long friendship between two unforgettable women will star Mara Davi (Broadway's A Chorus Line and The Drowsy Chaperone) as Bertie White and Alysha Umphress (Broadway's American Idiot and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) as Cee Cee Bloom.

The national tour of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock 'n' roll icons: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash, will make its premiere at Omaha's Orpheum Theater Tuesday, February 18, 2014. The show is part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway Series and will run through Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, December 13th at 10AM through the Artist Series, the official presenter of Broadway in Jacksonville.
