New York based Burning Clown Productions are thrilled to present the West Coast Premiere of the Drama Desk nominated play, The Navigator, written by Eddie Antar and directed by Leslie Kincaid Burby (NYIT Award winner, Best Direction). SLASHES OF LIGHT tells the story of an African American girl's coming-of-age in Chicago's South Side during the turbulent 1960s. This production connects Civic Ensemble's focus on community-based work by women and people of color with the Kitchen's two decades of producing bold, intimate work that starts 'important conversations.' Previews are today, June 11 and June 12 & 13, opening night is June 14, and the play closes on June 29.

Cori Thomas's warm-hearted and funny play about the many flavors of desire, When January Feels Like Summer, will receive its New York premiere in a co-production of Ensemble Studio Theatre and Page 73 Productions directed by Daniella Topol.

HARD TRAVELIN' WITH WOODY, the critically acclaimed multimedia solo show with the music and artworks of Woody Guthrie, written and performed by Randy Noojin, will perform as part of Hollywood Fringe at Theatre Asylum's Elephant Studio, 6320 Santa Monica Blvd, 90038 on Friday, June 20 @ 10pm, Saturday, June 21 @ 4pm, Monday, June 23 @ 8:30pm, Thursday, June 26th @ 10pm, Saturday, June 28 @ 5:30pm. Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 16th Not Your Typical Season with Collected Stories. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Donald Margulies and directed by James O'Neil, Collected Stories is a two-person play featuring Susan Clark (Emmy Winner - 'Babe Zaharias,' 'Webster,' Shaw Festival and the Taper) as a brilliant, direct writing professor and Meghan Andrews (Frost/Nixon and The Grapes of Wrath on Broadway) as her eager-yet-talented student. Opening tonight, May 28th at 7:00 p.m., Collected Stories runs Wednesdays through Sundays until June 21st.

Bay Street Theatre presents the World Premiere of CONVICTION (Today, May 27-June 15) by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. The production is co-produced by Bay Street Theatre, Rubicon Theatre in California, Dead Posh Productions, London and Canada's Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.
