Mixing its rich Pacific Island heritage with contemporary choreography, New Zealand's Black Grace brings intensity, artistry and prowess to Dance Celebration. Performances take place Thursday February 12 at 7:30 PM, Friday, February 13 at 8 PM and Saturday, February 14 at 2 PM and 8 PM at the Annenberg Center, 3680 Walnut Street. Tickets are $20-$50. The TEAM Publishes New Works

The award-winning Brooklyn-based ensemble the TEAM has announced the release of two new published works, as part of their 10th anniversary: an anthology titled Five Plays By The TEAM, and the script for RoosevElvis, both published by Oberon Books. They'll be celebrating the release of both with a book launch event that includes performances and a book signing on Saturday, January 31 at BookCourt (163 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201).

The popular Ruth Easton New Play series at the Playwrights' Center continues in February with readings of the new play "Marie and Rosetta" by Core Writer George Brant. The play with music, about gospel greats Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Marie Knight, will have two public readings: Monday, February 2 and Tuesday, February 3 at 7 p.m. at the Playwrights' Center, 2301 E. Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis. The readings are free but tickets go fast so claim yours at pwcenter.org before they are gone.

The extremely personable Cheyenne Jackson landed in Cafe Carlyle last night as if on the moon. A hardscrabble, Ohio childhood and late start in the business explain the artist's astonishment at finding himself in the prestigious nightclub. While Jackson's resume includes leading roles in Broadway musicals such as All Shook Up (2004), Xanadu (2007), Damn Yankees (2008), and Finian's Rainbow (2010), he took the Carlyle stage with only one cabaret appearance under his belt so the genre is as unfamiliar to the vocalist as the venue.

Dick Fox's Golden Boys starring Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell bring the golden era to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on February 3, 2015 at 8 pm. California Musical Theatre announced a varied lineup of musicals for the 2015 season of Sacramento Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, the 65th season for what has become a Northern California summer tradition. The summer lineup will include two classics that are Music Circus audience favorites, Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady and Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Laurents and Stephen Sondheim's West Side Story, as well as the Mississippi adventure Big River, the musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie, the magical journey Peter Pan, and a sixth show that will be offered as an option for season subscribers, the generation-defining Hair.
