Jack Kleinsinger's Highlights In Jazz, New York's longest running jazz concert series, concludes its record breaking 45th season at 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, 199 Chambers Street, New York City, with The Joe Bushkin Centennial concert, celebrating the rich musical legacy of the legendary pianist/composer with an all-star revue featuring Wycliffe Gordon, Harry Allen, Eric Comstock, John Colliani, Nicki Parrott, Ted Rosenthal, Steve Johns and Spike Wilner, under the musical direction of Bob Merrill, plus, as in allHighlights In Jazz shows, a surprise special guest.

Acclaimed Jazz harpist-pianist-vocalist Corky Hale will present a 102nd Birthday Show honoring Billie Holiday on Thursday, April 6 at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.  Hale is one of the few people still performing who was actually a close friend of Holiday's, playing for her on the 'Stars of Jazz' TV show, and on several recordings and live appearances.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2016-17 season on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 8pm with GRAMMY® Award-winning jazz singer Patti Austin performing Ella Now and Then: A Centennial Celebration of the First Lady of Song. The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center will celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month in April with Broadway in Leimert Park, 27 performances beginningSaturday with Charles Wright, the writer and vocalist of the iconic 'Express Yourself' with the Watts 103rd Street Band, joining Emmy-nominated jazz and blues singer Morrison for a concert that begins at 7 p.m.
