The Dance Gallery Festival will return for their 11th annual New York performance showcase, Today, November 3, at Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center, 29 Jay St. in Brooklyn, and on November 4-5 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W 55th Street, NYC with 25 artists in a weekend of groundbreaking work performed in three distinct and separate programs.

Astrid von Ussar, Artistic Director of The Dance Gallery Festival, announced today the lineup for the Festival's 11th annual New York performance showcase, on Friday, November 3 at Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center, 29 Jay St in Brooklyn, and on November 4-5 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W 55th Street, NYC.

Fresh and original, innovative artists showcase exhilarating works, modern dance curated by Tiffany Rea-Fisher and ballet curated by Donna Salgado.

Ma-Yi Theater Company and Producing Artistic Director, Ralph B. Peña and Executive Director, Jorge Z. Ortoll have announced the 28th Anniversary Gala honoring legendary prima ballerina of Ballet Philippines and Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Elizabeth Roxas Dobrish, and creators and patrons of the arts, Frank and Lolita Valderrama Savage.

Starting tonight programs will include Revelations workshops taught by leading dancers from the Company's 55 year history, and the all new 'Get Fit in '14' challenge beginning today, January 2nd.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater is pleased to announce that it will launch the national tour of Second Stage Theatre's production Let Me Down Easy. This one-woman production, which is conceived, written and performed by Anna Deavere Smith (Nurse Jackie, Fires in the Mirror) and directed by Leonard Foglia (Broadway's Thurgood) and was named one of Entertainment Weekly's Top 10 of 2009, is 'a continually engaging and engrossing collection of testimonials' (The New York Times) that explores the fragility of the body and the resilience of the spirit. Let Me Down Easy closes February 13, 2011 in the Kreeger Theater.
