REVERBdance Festival celebrates its 10th year of presenting a stimulating variety of works by both seasoned and emerging contemporary dance artists, including dance theater choreography, solo performers, and dance companies.  The dancers and choreographers hail from around the U.S., South Africa, London, and Japan.  Four performances, November 6-8 at Baruch P.A. Center.

Iraqi-born FJK DANCE Artistic Director Fadi Khoury will return on Sunday, November 8 with his company of ten dancers to present WORKS IN PROGRESS at the Manhattan Movement Center, 248 W 60th St at 7pm.

Elisa Monte Dance, an emotionally charged and highly acclaimed dance company that champions individuality, announces its pivotal 35th season–marking the official departure of Elisa Monte as director from the company she began in 1981.

Theater for the New City (Executive Director, Crystal Field) presents the world premiere of the musical comedy Heather Smiley for President, which will begin previews on Thursday, October 1st, at the Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue at 10th Street), with an opening set for Sunday, October 11th.    The musical has a book and lyrics by Tom Attea with music composed by Arthur Abrams. The production is directed by Mark Marcante and choreographed by Angela Harriell. Heather Smiley for President will play a limited engagement through October 25th. Fadi J. Khoury, who serves as FJK Dance Company's Artistic Director, choreographer and principal dancer, connects Argentinean tango, Middle Eastern movement, classical ballet and ballroom dance in an innovative contemporary dance setting.

Elisa Monte, Jacqulyn Buglisi and Jennifer Muller, three acclaimed contemporary dance choreographers whose careers span between two to four decades, will again join forces to present Monte/Buglisi/Muller LIVE! at New York Live Arts, tonight, June 16 through June 20.

On Monday, June 1, HERE honors Mary McCormick, President of the Fund for the City of New York, and Donn Russell, Director of The Peg Santvoord Foundation, at its annual gala.  The gala, entitled FutureCity, begins at 6:00pm with the Taste of Tomorrow Dinner at City Winery (155 Varick Street) featuring VIP Cocktail Reception, dinner, performances and live & silent auctions, and continues with The HEREafter Party, beginning at 8:30pm at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue), with cocktails, hors d'Oeuvres, silent auction, performances and dancing.

Repertory Dance Theatre is the nation's oldest and most successful repertory dance company. For 50 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of modern dance, while preserving its legacy. It was radical when a bunch of Utah modern dancers beat out the big city stalwarts to receive a Rockefeller grant establishing us as the nation's first repertory dance company. Today, we're just as revolutionary as we were in 1966.

Under the artistic direction of Bradley Shelver, the STEPS REPERTORY ENSEMBLE is the contemporary dance company of STEPS BEYOND FOUNDATION, a non-for-profit organization in residence at the prestigious Steps on Broadway. The Ensemble commissions choreographers, both established and emerging, to create new works and to restage repertory, thereby connecting to America's rich modern dance legacy.
